QR Codes seem to be a pretty geeky way to adorn stuff these days, and designers are quickly realising the potential of using these as designs that double up in functionality, turning everyday objects more interactive! Take this innovative glass design for Guinness Beer for example. When left empty or filled with conventional golden froth, the QR code on the glass remains hidden. Fill it up with the black coloured Guinness beer and the QR code is quickly exposed, enabling you to interact with the glass with your smartphone by scanning the code, which in turn tweets about your beer-drinking exploits, updates your Facebook status, checks you in on FourSquare and downloads coupons and promotions while giving you full access to exclusive Guinness content on your phone!
