After growing wearisome looking at uninteresting and not-so-catchy facades of structures around him, Iranian artist and designer Mehdi Ghadyanloo came up with a fantastic way to brighten up walls in the city of Tehran! With aide from his mural-painting company Blue Sky Painters, Mehdi has begun transforming boring and dull building facades into works of art. Most of these oversized paintings are surreal and will make passersby stop and stare.
That’s not all. Mehdi’s creations also interact with the surrounding urban environment and work as illusions of sorts! So far, the artist and his team has painted more than a 100 murals and he hopes to add more dashes of color to the otherwise dull streets of Tehran! We love the idea of turning a concrete jungle into an art gallery, what do you think?
