IKEA has gone a step ahead and the company’s real estate branch, Inter Hospitality, recently joined hands with Marriott International Inc. to provide affordable accommodation options for tourists visiting Europe. A new hotel brand called Moxy will be unveiled by the hoteliers and will provide economy-class accommodation. These three-star budget hotels will be built over the next five years and the IKEA group will invest nearly half a billion US dollars in the same.
However, the furniture brand IKEA will not be providing the hotels with furniture. These hotels with rooms ranging from 150 to 300 in all will sport all the basic amenities you’d look for in an economy lodging and will be spread across about 50 sites in Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Austria.
