• Ziiro’s new Proton and Ion wristwatches go minimalist

  • Inspired by atoms subatomic particles, Hong Kong-based watch manufacturer Ziiro recently unveiled its two new timepieces, the Ion and the Proton. While the Ion sticks to the classical hour-hand design with a watchface lacking the hour markings, the Proton sports mall, circular holes denoting the twelve hour marks while the gradient disks tell the time, with the blue color disk indicating the hours while the yellow disk indicates the minutes. Together, these one-of-a-kind watches make for some pretty amusing and out-of-the-box modes to time-keeping and brush against the minimalist school of design.
