Architects ahoy! Japanese studio Nendo has recently unveiled a wrist ornament that’ll make you pass a knowing smile. Called the Draftsman 02-Stencil, this watch is part of the Draftsman series and is inspired by hand draughting and the stationery used to create architectural drawings. The watch’s aesthetics are made to replicate the transparent templates that architects use to draw circles.
The watches increments are laser cut. Quoting the designers, “We thought this might inspire wearers to become aware of the time that they measure for themselves, instead of simply following time as measured by others.” Available with translucent faces in blue, grey or beige, the watch comes with black cases in 28- and 36-millimetre versions.
