• Braille Staircase Handrail makes ascending and descending stairs easier for the blind

  • There are designs that we come across on a daily basis that make living life a lot easier. One such concept we spotted recently was the Braille Staircase Handrail designed by Zhou Wenqiang, Bao Haimo, Jin Zhixun, Li Meiyan and Li Xinyi. In essence a conventional handrail with information in Braille that visually impaired users can feel while ascending or descending stairs, this handrail can be used at public places.

The handrail gives users information in regards to the floors ascended or descended and alerts users about the last three stairs too! And that’s not all. If required the handrails can also be used to give out information about the tenants living on each floor.
