• Israeli researchers develop intelligent camera that de-scatters light to see through frosted glass

  • Using a frosted glass and the like is one of the best ways to keep prying eyes out. These cleverly crafted sheets of glass are capable of scattering light around, making it impossible to look through, while subsequently allowing sufficient amounts of light. A team of Israeli researchers have recently come up with a new technique however that allows users to look through these types of glass and see perfectly.

To be specific, the technology used here is an intelligent camera that is capable of rearranging the scattered light to a more sensible and perceivable form. The system uses a “spatial light modulator” and a digital camera that bring together scattered light to form figures! A technology as such could help look deep into human tissue, enabling a closer look inside the human body without the need of X-ray machines and the like.
