We have come across many concept designs for various modes of public transport. The latest concept design is the BogotáTaxi by designer Juan-Sebastian Gomez. Designed for Bogotá city, this concept taxi was designed after reviewing the city’s Mobility Master Plan as well as the TransMilenio, a world class Rapid Bus Transit system. The taxi has been deigned to be both passenger and driver friendly. The goal of this concept taxi is to work within a system that’s aimed to be integrated with all other public transport utilities to achieve an effective and sustainable service. Made from steel and boasting of a fiber reinforced (agricultural waste) composite body, this taxi features foldable seats and runs on either gas, compressed air, electric/solar energy.
If this taxi materializes it will only enhance the public transport system of the city.
