Jung-Hoon Kim a senior student of Industrial Design has designed P-eco, an eco friendly electric vehicle concept that is self- charging. It harbors four piezoelectric devices on the front and rear section of the drivers seat. When the car moves, there are vibrations from the ground, cars own movements plus from the air resistance faced by the car. Here weights strained by multiple chords start vibrating at high frequency and these vibrations generate electric energy using the piezoelectric devices which in turn re-charge the battery. For all practical purposes, the piezoelectric devices should at least prolong the battery life giving more mileage per battery charges.
