Emil Jacob while stuck on a cramped overnight flight where he eventually resorted to sleeping on the floor came up with this ingenious design of giving passengers more room through a simple vertical strategizing. All he did was elevated every other row and removed one seat from every row to accommodate stairs, thus providing lots more leg space, storage space and many more people on flight. The good part being that all the seats can now recline fully as all that is behind them is empty air space. With the storage being right in front of the seat, this design removes the need to block the aisle to access the overhead compartments. The only glitch according to me in the design is that while giving more leg space, storage space it makes it look more cramped. Nevertheless, it is a very intelligent concept and if applied in reality should lessen quite a few travelling woes.
