An automotive designer called David Raffai has uncovered a concept called BMW Snug. Through this design he has tried to recover the values of community. He explains ‘SNUG is a concept which aims to create a sense of community: a simple, fun object, designed for people who appreciate personal relationships, people who are different from the others, in their opinions and in their feelings.’
This is part of a thesis project done in association with the BMW group. The outcome is this fun design and colourful design. Its features include 4-seater interiors, which can be used as a living room, a changeable graphics on the sides and a fuel cell. The form concept was based on paper waves that cover a central cell, where the interior can be found.
