Product and graphic designers Jordi Gisbert and Verónica Coloma have joined hands and opened the Ham&Cheese studio. Tag-it is one of the byproducts of their studio. A genius idea, the tag it is a unique idea to help you note down your ideas! Yes, Tag-it is a lamp with a soft light that illuminates a light bulb-shaped note pad on which you can write your genius idea. So if you dream up a smart idea just wake up and scribble it on this night lamp, so you don’t have to worry about it getting lost in your dreams. After waking up all you need to do is look at the notepad. Besides the unique concept, the design of this notepad lamp is also extremely unique and amazing. Sure to make for a fun bed side piece of décor, the tag-it will help you save all your ideas. 
For those interested in the “bigger” picture, Asus has one sweet deal for you. The Asus NX90JQ-A1 media center laptop is for all those who laugh at the new generation of small and compact notebooks. The ideal laptop for some entertainment, it weighs 9.4-pounds and features Bang & Olufsen speakers that stick out of its sides. The widescreen measures 18.4 inches and the highly reflective polished aluminum surface is to die for. Besides the gigantic screen, the other awesome features of this laptop include dual touchpads that work in tandem, i.e. you can be "mousing" with the left one while button-clicking with the right one. The laptop is expected to retail for a price of $2,530. 
I am one of those accident prone folks, who somehow end up hurting themselves every now and then. In fact there are days when people even ask me how come I don’t have a band aid on my hand or leg. Given the close relationship I share with bandages, I was intrigued by this unique invention which I am sure will appeal to not just accident prone folks like me but even the most careful ones. Most of us usually take the band aid off before the wound has completely healed and thus need to put one again. But thanks to this new invention by scientists you will know exactly when your wound is healed in order to avoid the pain of pulling that band aid off at the wrong time. Scientists at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Modular Solid State Technologies EMFT have invented color-coded dyes for bandages that react to changing pH values in the wound below without disturbing it. If your wound is fine, the pH level will read 5 but if it reads between 6.5 and 8.5, an infection is likely and the dye turns a shade of purple. 
Spanish designer, Arturo Arino has captured my attention with his Phase 2 concept. The Phase 2 concept is a giant all terrain vehicle. The high-tech vehicle with its sleek design simply makes you wish it were more than just a concept. The vehicle is envisioned to ride over any type of terrain, from sand dunes to snow clad streets as well water covered streets. Whenever it does turn into a reality, I am sure the Phase 2 would be a real showstopper. Just roll over for the images, to watch this concept all terrain vehicle unfold before your eyes. 
ERV is a rescue vehicle on two wheels. Brainchild of designer Koh Wei Ling, the ERV is abbreviation for Emergency Rescue Vehicle. Like its name suggests, this rescue bicycle is created for providing urgent treatment whenever there are accidents around the corner. Designed to be always on the road, this specially designed bike is sure to reach accident victims in crowded areas faster than four wheeled vehicles. Thus, giving first aid to the victim till the ambulance arrives. The special bike has been designed with slide to lock equipment bags which contain important rescue instruments and medicines. 
Many people will vouch for the fact that having a pet around you helps you relax and de-stress. Taking a cue from such experiences is design student Jens Dyvik who created the unique Ref wearable pet concept for his graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven. The unique Ref is worn on the wrist. It helps you become aware of your emotional state by sensing your heartbeat and emulating your state of excitement through unique ways. For instance, if you are stressed, Ref raises its head and tail and when you calm down or relax, Ref automatically lowers its head and curls its tail. (Isn’t it smart?) The main idea behind this creation is to make people aware of their emotions and not allow them to rule over oneself. Ref is operated through six servomotors and an Arduino in a box. 
Designer Gregory Sims has created the concept Standard Issue Headphones. Fun, bright and colorful; these headphones surely have that aesthetic appeal. Created for Standard Issue, these colorful headphones that flaunt a number of colors on its body including pink, green, blue are truly amazing. Since the designer has not provided and information about the features and tech-specs of this neat set of Headphones, we can only guess the features of this headphone set. 
Here is a unique way of turning your laundry basket from an eye sore into a beautiful wall ornament. Designer Helene Steiner is the one who deserves all the credit for creating such a beautiful solution. Through her unique creation dubbed the Polyp the designer turns a laundry basket into a functional piece of art. Polyp is a unique laundry that attaches to vertical surfaces. When attached to a wall it looks like a unique piece of décor. Made from plastic, the clothes are held inside in holes. When the basket is full, the clothes start bulging out, indicating to the user that it is time to do laundry. The many units of Polyp’s can be combined to make a unique design or can be attached separately in different rooms. 
Here is a simple yet futuristic shower unit that appeals to you with its design and features. Developed by designer Paulina Carlos, this handheld shower unit system is designed using Universal Design Principles. The many features of this shower unit include rotation as well as angle adjustment of the showerhead. The shower unit’s base comprises of a suction cup which allows various positioning options for the shower. What is more, it adjusts to the previous shower head via a hose and water diverter. A switch allows you to control the water flow while its ergonomic design allows an easy grip. 
Designtide Tokyo 2010 witnessed the merger of Italian design company, Alessi and Japanese product manufacturer Iida, who teamed up to present a line of cell phones at the event. To make sure their venture was a success, the two hired designers like Stefano Giovannoni, Marcel Wanders and Patricia Urquiola to create and design a line of phones that merge art and life without compromising on the practicality of the device. Stefano Giovannoni creation in this line was based on the idea that people can no longer live without their electronic gadgets. Thus, the designer’s cell phone is designed to be the user’s “partner for the day”. The phone is shaped like a face- there is a moving circle on the back of the display which is symbolic of 'eyes', a small curve in the phone's form which is symbolic of a 'nose', while the black hinges of the phone are reminiscent of 'hair'. 
With the progress and development of technology, digital camera’s today not only display the image just captured but also feature projector’s that allow you to project the image on a screen! Although still new, these cameras are sure to become a rage. Designer Rene Lee too seems to realize the future prospects of such camera’s and hence created the concept Pico camera. A camera that doubles as a projector, this unique concept even features a small tripod stand to place the camera when its projection feature is on. Fun, sleek and super awesome, I really loved the idea of the Pico projector camera. 
Visually impaired persons are benefitting from the number of gadgets that are being developed to aid them and make their life easier. The latest gadget developed to help the visually impaired is dubbed the Plan-B and created by Germany’s Orik Designbüro. The high-tech device translates the map of a city in a tactile map designed for the blind allowing the user to navigate easily through the city. Within few second, the Plan-B gadget offers a relief surface for the user which indicates its location, its environment and also gives an audible signal. 
The One Line Watch concept by designer Sam from Germany truly beckons the fashion conscious watch lover. The smart and sleek concept analog watch is a single line design which combines the hour hand and the minute hand. Resembling more like a bracelet than watch, this fashionable timepiece is truly a class apart. One single material is used throughout the timepiece i.e. the strap and timepiece are both made of the same translucent material. In daylight it appears that someone has drawn a line on the bracelet while when its dark, the watch easily lights up to allow you to read the time. A fancy analog watch, it has one extended hand that functions as the hour and minute hand. The thick end is the hour’s indicator while the thin end is the minute indicator. 
Wellington International Airport in New Zealand seems to be reeling in the after effects of Halloween. That is the only explanation for the unique Pumpkin-shaped terminal that they just unveiled. Studio Pacific Architecture collaborated with Warren and Mahoney to create this unusual looking terminal which has been christened, The Rock. The Rock is an eco-friendly structure a fresh aesthetic, the terminal is intended to create a unique and memorable experience for travelers. Made from economical and recycled building components, this terminal will surely be a favorite with travelers.
