XCIX_Y Bracelet is a unique piece of jewelry by Sara Ferrari. The bracelet is designed to last 99 years and display the age of its wearer. The unique bracelet gets its inspiration from the trees and the calculation of their age through the number of rings in the trunk. There are a total of 18 pieces in this bracelet and each piece is different from the other. Made of walnut, each piece represents the decades, from 10 to 90. They are decagons, expressing their self as decades and they have roman numbers as a mark to recognize them. The translucent and light, red Plexiglas, indicates the years in between, from 1 to 9. the plastic piece too have incisions in the form of circles, one for the piece representing the first year of a decade, 2 for the second, 3 for the third et cetera. The combination of plastic and wood give this bracelet a unique look.
A unique way to sport your age, I wonder how many girls would want to display their age this way.
