Meditation and Yoga have been insanely popular in the last few years. People are doing a lot to remain fit, keep their heart rate, blood pressure in check and know their inner self, basically. Armed only with a a heart rate monitor and a music player and a Lilypad Arduino, two students Dana Ramler (Industrial Design) and Holly Schmidt (MAA) from Emily Carr University have design this very cool vest that monitors the wearers heart rate according to which it playes back a suitable sound track. For instance, if the wearer of the vest has a low heart rate, the vest plays back a track that reflects a quiet natural ares with soothing sounds of water and birds. Similarly, if the heart rate is high, he will hear a cacophony of people talking and traffic noise. They rightly call it the ‘Bio Circuit’ where the garment allows the wearer to be aware of his physiological state.
