Compact kitchens have become the need of the hour, courtesy compact modern homes. German designers Kirstin Laass and Norman Elbeit have paid heed to this need and created a prototype compact kitchen dubbed the Small Type. This compact modular kitchen focuses on providing a smooth work cycle and intuitive operation to those using the kitchen. Measuring just 1 square meter when closed, the Small Type even serves as a dining table. Just roll away the table and the entire kitchen unit is revealed to you. Complete with a refrigerator, oven, induction cook top and spacious storage space, this Small Type is definitely no small affair. The Small Type was presented at the DMY International Design Festival Berlin 2010.
The Small Type kitchen unit has definitely won my heart. In fact, this type of kitchen unit that doubles up as a dining table will be welcomed by many.
