Jolly is a fun piece of furniture

Jolly is a clever and portable solution in new age furniture. It can be folded and put together easily and is very convenient for storage as well. It doubles up as a stool and magazine/newspaper rack. It's perfect for homes that are short on space or if you want something that is very mobile. It looks nice and trendy in a combination of white, yellow and black. It is coated with color that is durable. I'm sure it will do well in gardens and porches.

Parasolar seating system educates us about sustainability

Parasolar.jpg There are newer and newer innovations in seating arrangements. Check out Parasolar which is a sustainable sculptural public seating area. It is self sustainable and this is possible with the use of solar energy. A nice and interesting feature is that it comes with an interactive and educative visual display projecting information to everyone about sustainability. I don't know how comfortable planting yourself on it will be though. It doesn't look particularly inviting as far as comfort goes, but I don't think that's its purpose anyway.

Lightleafs might eliminate flashlights!

Lightleafs2.jpg Flashlights are a thing of the past. When we've made so much progress, why stick to these stone age gadgets? Plus, they are way too bulky. Now we have been introduced to Lightleafs. They are as thin as pages of a paper and they are a nice illuminating device. They are perfect to carry around as they can fit practically anywhere. You can light up rooms and tents with them. Reconnect gets you back in touch with your passions

reconnect1.jpg Sometimes we get so involved in our work and family life, that we forget our other interests. You might be one of those people who have drifted from their real passion for snow boarding, wine, golf, photography or whatever it may be. This is where Reconnect plays a vital role as it bonds you back with those things you really enjoy. It starts monitoring your online behaviour, randomly interrupting you with proposals. It has set out to put your priorities right through positive change in behaviour that lets you tune in to your true passions again. An excellent idea, no doubt.

Momento compass connects you to your friends

Momento-compass-1.jpg Momento is unlike any compass you have ever seen. It is used for navigating your social life and not geographical locations. It allows you to share moments with friends that you are connected to and be introduced to new friends. It is pretty cool with its interface to locate friends in your social network, in a physical arena. Besides this it finds new friends with similar interests for you. People who are set to you 'North', instantly receive moments of your daily experiences. You can also can set the privacy level of your momento by adjusting the bezel. It's a pretty cool concept, but is it practical? Only time will tell.

Suma mouse concept for 3D navigation

Suma-mouse.jpg There's no doubt that 3D is becoming a more and more popular concept. There's a lot of effort being put into making 3D navigation easy, but it is a daunting task. Now, Cambridge Consultants have come up with the Suma mouse concept which is an interesting idea on how we might control a 3D environment. This mouse enables you to click, pan, zoom and tilt in order to maneuver around the 3D environment. It is also capable of recognizing how the user is holding it and perform accordingly. This makes the process of navigating infinitely easier. I have a feeling that this is going to be a big hit.

VW's car-ready folding bike concept spells convenience

VW_folding_bike.jpg I really like VW's new electric bike concept. It is innovative and designed to fold into a circle that fits in the compartment previously occupied by the spare tire. It is a pedal less bike that isn't ideal for long trips with its range of 12.5 miles. It's nice to travel within the city though. You can park your car and then hop on your back and go where ever you want the wheels to take you. A really convenient feature is that it's designed to be charged up by the car itself, meaning you don't have to find a wall to plug it into. The bike made its public debut at the Auto China 2010 show.

Bracket-clock.jpg If you are going for a clock, why not get a unique one? Bracket Clock Shade of Time is certainly very striking. It's mechanism is different than anything out there. It doesn't have hands. Instead of them there are shades. Around the perimeter of the clock dial there are two rows of lighttubes: the first row shows the hours and the second is for minutes. You will find that there are lighttubes that put their light on a small eminence in the center of the clock dial, that makes shades. It looks pretty cool in its spherical design as well.
