A mobile phone that you can never misplace

SamsungProxima1.jpg How often do we misplace our cellphone at home and public places and how much time we spend in locating it? The answer to these questions would most likely be ‘very often’ and ‘quite a lot’. Here is a cell phone idea designed for Samsung by Johan Loekito that solves our above problems. This cellphone is detachable with a wristband acting as its dock. A proximity sensor would make the wristband emit a tone or vibrate if the phone is too far away from it. Similarly we could find the missing phone just by pressing a button on the wristband. Moreover this phone would also be capable of detecting contacts close by using the same device, thus allowing us to set our privacy and location details. Now if only this phone would be traceable even in silent or switch off modes, it would be of any use.

Concept Tablet Computer by Yigit Cinar

Concept-Tablet-Computer-1.jpg Often it happens when we use a gadget regularly; we fall in love with it. But are frustrated with its shortcomings and fantasize about changing it. Here Yigit Cinar was frustrated with the limitations of Apple’s iPad and other tablets and visualized an ideal tablet computer that he would love the giants of the market to create. He would like a tablet with multiple USB ports, removable batteries and a satellite module that we can clip on to our belt or wear as an armband. This satellite module would be with a 2.3 inch color screen which would also serve as an MP3 player and remote control for the tablet. He would love the giants of the market to team up to create this all inclusive product. Cinar would like HP to build this device, with a digitizer screen (not a touchpad) by Wacom, and Google’s Chrome OS to run the show. This concept tablet computer by Cinar would surpass many other tablets in the market in features if not in style.

This chair not only caters to the primary function of providing rest to a person, but also performs diagnosis of the patient. It has sensors placed on the rest of the chair and it can diagnose a patient when he gets seated on it. It would be a boon to have such chairs in the waiting rooms of hospitals. By the time it would be a patient’s turn to meet the doctor; the diagnosis part would be half done. It would be really useful in case of medical emergencies in hospitals.

This contemporary styled grill is a beauty to behold. Designed by Roberto Bertran, the top surface of the grill is made of glass while the bottom is made of metal. The top face contains 140 independent heating surfaces and the interesting part is that the grill turns on only when any of these surfaces come in contact with the food. Because the Variable Grill heats only the surfaces that come in contact with the food, it ends up saving energy for the user. Moreover as each surface is able to move independently, it surrounds the food on all sides, giving a better cooked meal. In a nutshell, it promises a complete grilling experience.
