The first alcohol thermometer was invented in 1654 by Ferdinando ll de’ Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany and the construction method used by him was very simple. It was the first modern-styled thermometer that depended on the expansion of a liquid, rather than air pressure. However, the modern day alcohol thermometer by Sono Mocci is constructed out of capillary glass tube, and the change in temperature is indicated by the rise and fall of the red liquid (mercury) in the glass tube. This project is a tribute to this early science and It focuses on the analog method as well as exchange to value product with new direction. The simple wall mounted thermometer is a tribute to this early science.
