In future, devices are bound to go translucent. Up ahead, all we will require to carry around are slabs of glass that will transform into computing devices like tablets and smartphones. Designer Ricardo Luis Monteiro Afonso gave the world a peek at what could be the future of the Apple iPad. The concept is essentially more or less a slab of glass that cleverly transform into a full-fledged tablet.

Well, the world is nearly about to receive a technological wonder as such. One of the reasons for the delay of translucent screens is the lack of transparent batteries. While translucent television screens that hook up to power sockets have already been showcased, portable devices as such are yet in the making.
