Some never tire of design innovations. A team at the Carnegie Mellon University have designed an autonomous mobile robot. ‘Snackbot’ as it’s called is a interesting looking robot that has been made for research in robotics, design and behavioral science. But most of all. As the name hints, it has been primarily been designed to serve snacks. It is the size of a small human that rolls around on wheels and delivering the snacks to the faculty and students of the university. Promoting a deep study into human-robotic interaction, Snackbot is interesting, but in my sincere opinion, not really required.
