There are newer and newer innovations in seating arrangements. Check out Parasolar which is a sustainable sculptural public seating area. It is self sustainable and this is possible with the use of solar energy. A nice and interesting feature is that it comes with an interactive and educative visual display projecting information to everyone about sustainability. I don’t know how comfortable planting yourself on it will be though. It doesn’t look particularly inviting as far as comfort goes, but I don’t think that’s its purpose anyway.
