Famous Spanish restaurant Arzak and Philips Design have joined hands to give the Gastronomes an expeirce that will not only satisfy their taste buds but also their vision as they look at what they love the most in the world…food! Named Multi-sensorial Gastronomy, it includes conceptual tableware which illuminates when food is placed on it. The range includes a bowl, plate and serving plate that emit fragrances, vibrations and light in response to the presence of food on their surfaces.
I don’t think a foodie would care a fly if their plate or bowl glows or not as long as the food looks and tastes good enough to make their faces glow. But as far as the Multi-sensorial Gastronomy is concerned it is going to provide food for thought in the food and beverage world. Do I foresee sessions of debates and altercations?
