The ILLUMIO is a beautiful lighting piece by Mac Funamizu whose design represents how a human feels in his/her human relationship and the environment. The ILLUMIO comprises of a base with 16 holes and 4 light bulbs. The base made of frosted glass, reflects the ambient light around a light bulb. The curved shape represents the earth and the shape of the light bulb represents a human being. You can arrange the bulbs in various patterns. According to the position of the light bulbs, the color that the LED in a bulb emits changes. This shows a human feels differently when the surroundings change. The different arrangements and patterns reflect the different human relationships and emotions that arise from them. The ILLUMIO is designed after Robert Plutchik’s psycho evolutionary theory of emotion.
A unique and beautiful creation, it helps you understand different emotions in the most extraordinary way.
