Well, you don’t need to be a world renowned illusionist or a demigod of sorts to perform this little trick anymore. You can now perform this little magic trick in your kitchen, and have your friends go “ooh” and “aah”. Just make sure they don’t figure out you’ve been using the “Spatial Interaction” touch-less tap though. That would probably blow your magic away.
Your hands decide the temperature, flow, speed and stream of water through the touch-less tap. The prototype is made with a enclosure fashioned out of a single block of Corian, and looks great, easily finding its place in your modular kitchen. A magic trick aside, this tap is an aide to hygiene too! With a few meaningful gestures, you can have the tap spouting water. And by meaningful gestures, all you need to do is perform a “come to me” action to enable the flow of water. To stop the flow of water, a “go away” gesture will suffice. Looks like designer Jasper Dekker sure has brought the magic back into kitchens with the Spatial Interaction touch-less tap.
