While the Feather concept seating system opened new horizons in the world of furniture pieces, it is however yet to materialize. On the other hand, the Hanging Hammock Chair by Ryuji Nakamura Architects is actually a reality. Sharing the same concept as the Feather seating system, the Hanging hammock chair is a unique seat inspired by a swing or to be more precise, a hammock. Taking up zero floor space as it hangs from the ceiling, this unique seating solution is definitely a class apart. White, semi-flexible synthetic panels of material are strung between sets of metal supports to which they are temporarily bolted while the core steel supports are tied into the hidden structural system above.
A great seating concept, it will surely redefine your living space.
