‘Emanuelle is Shy’ is the title for this special chair designed by Emilie Voirin from France. As the chair has an odd protruding canopy over the sitter’s head, it gives an impression that the sitter wants to hide her face and hence the title suits the chair undoubtly. The chair is a part of a set of furniture pieces made out of rattan (similar to bamboo) entitled ‘Made in China’ created by Voirin. Her collection also includes a chair that resembles the iconic Panton Chair (a design created by Verner Pantonn in 1960).
