The good old canopy bed will find a place in our bedrooms once more, this time with a modern and sleeker look. The basic idea behind a canopy bed like this is, a person feels better secure when enclosed, for a guaranteed sleep. Which is, probably the same reason why caterpillars cocoon themselves, and turtles slip into their shells.

Designed around the usual four posters, this bed brings back the use of drapery, anchoring the bed better in the room and making it more prominent. The drapery also adds to the bed’s structuring in a room. A changeable fabric runs down the bedsides and through the guides, attached to the planks underneath. During the day, the drapery can be pushed aside to make the bed visible. Sleeping in a bed like this sure means comfortable sleep and sweet dreams.
