One look at the ‘Aperitivo table’ and I know why this clever table is one of 100 shortlisted entries for Designboom’s competition in collaboration with Peroni Nastro Azzurro – ‘it’s Aperitivo time’. Designed by Eon Ju Park from Korea, this clever table resembling a tree has branches of small circles which allow you to place and remove glasses with ease. A great alternative to ordinary round tables, it will definitely help in reducing the crowding and clutter on and around tables. If you are a hosting a party, you can just arrange a few of the lovely Aperitivo tables in the room and your guests can easily mingle without having to crowd around one single table.

The Aperitivo table will be exhibited along with the other shortlisted entries of this competition from September 30th to October 4th, 2009 at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London. I hope Aperitivo table is declared one of the winners when the results are announced after the exhibitions’ opening.
