Here is an idea for an intelligent medical chair by Josep Ferriol. This chair not only caters to the primary function of providing rest to a person, but also performs diagnosis of the patient. It has sensors placed on the rest of the chair and it can diagnose a patient when he gets seated on it. It would be a boon to have such chairs in the waiting rooms of hospitals. By the time it would be a patient’s turn to meet the doctor; the diagnosis part would be half done. It would be really useful in case of medical emergencies in hospitals.
