One of my good friends is moving to Holland soon, so anything related to this country has me a little fascinated. Davis Grass has designed this wonderful lamp that derives its inspiration from ght emissions from the Netherlands. It is a light map of Holland that is more shaded where there is less light and brighter in the more densely populated regions. So it’s a good geography lesson right there and it’s quite accurate as design is taken from actual space images of the country at night. A plastic shade that is produced using rapid manufacturing techniques has been used to build the lamp. I think if it goes into production, I’ll be sure to gift it to my friend.
