Did you know that the tall skyscrapers are the major bird-killers and not the wind turbines? Yes, it’s true. The birds cannot see through the glass wall of the skyscrapers, because of which they dash right into it and kill themselves.

So here’s an incredibly lovely solution from Studio Gang Architects, that deservedly earns a PETA award for bird-deflecting elements in Aqua Tower, an 823-foot building with 55,000 square feet of retail and office space, 210 hotel rooms, 476 rental residential units, and 263 condominium units & Penthouses.

They thought of an idea where setting the glass back like this, and making small terraces or balcony as some may call it, makes the building more solid and visible to a bird. This is how the building becomes bird-friendly and also people friendly since you can then hang around in the terrace.

But the question is who would prefer to hand around in the terrace of the 300th floor? Nevertheless, at least some one thought of a novel solution to this bird problem.
