The Chinese appreciate well-designed stuff. So much, that they’re extremely comfortable creating carbon copies of the same! The latest case of extreme replication in China is the Wangjing Soho building’s copy. While the original building designed by London-based architect Zaha Hadid is due to be completed in 2014, a Southern China construction team has already replicated it!
And the shocking part of it all is the fact that the Chinese team is actually constructing the Wangjing Soho replica quicker than the original. Authorities claim that the Chinese construction team is using 3D renders of the building that will not result in an exact copy. As for the Wangjing Soho itself, this building will be a state-of-the-art office and retail complex.
