Villa Saitan is inspired by nature

Villa-Saitan.jpg The exterior of this apartment building located in Kyoto, Japan, is inspired by nature. The outside of the Villa Saitan building, designed by Eastern Design Office, is covered with leaf shaped holes that add design and character to the structure. The segregation of the building into independent apartments with balconies is completely hidden here. Instead it is built to be viewed as one big house. It looks very attractive, but the leaf-shaped holes seem to be blocking sunlight. But when a person breaks rules in creative designing, the result is always controversial. The amount of sunlight let in aside, the villa looks beautiful.

VW's car-ready folding bike concept spells convenience

VW_folding_bike.jpg I really like VW's new electric bike concept. It is innovative and designed to fold into a circle that fits in the compartment previously occupied by the spare tire. It is a pedal less bike that isn't ideal for long trips with its range of 12.5 miles. It's nice to travel within the city though. You can park your car and then hop on your back and go where ever you want the wheels to take you. A really convenient feature is that it's designed to be charged up by the car itself, meaning you don't have to find a wall to plug it into. The bike made its public debut at the Auto China 2010 show.

Bracket clock Shade of Time is very unique

Bracket-clock.jpg If you are going for a clock, why not get a unique one? Bracket Clock Shade of Time is certainly very striking. It's mechanism is different than anything out there. It doesn't have hands. Instead of them there are shades. Around the perimeter of the clock dial there are two rows of lighttubes: the first row shows the hours and the second is for minutes. You will find that there are lighttubes that put their light on a small eminence in the center of the clock dial, that makes shades. It looks pretty cool in its spherical design as well.
