A Stylish Tooth Brush Cover

Tooth-Brush-Cover.jpg Yes, your toothbrushes are meant to clean your mouth, but for that even they have to be kept clean in themselves too. ‘TBrush’ is the solution to this. A perfect cover for placing your toothbrush in is TBrush. You can use it at night to protect it from any kind of unclean environment. In my opinion it is ideal while travelling, when you may just end up keeping your toothbrush anywhere. Also, the design looks very attractive to me. In fact it looks like some kind of an eel to me, taking the shape of the toothbrush, with an easy to open cover and the grip also looks tight. I will definitely look at this kind of a product since I travel a lot.

Table Treasury hides your trinkets

table_treasury.jpg No matter how much space for storage you have, there's always need for more. Lucie Koldová has designed the Table Treasury and I'd take a stab in the dark that people who complain about being short on storage space will love it. You can store little trinkets, stationary and other personal stuff in the various drawers that extend from all sides of the table. The drawers are perfect for storing anything and everything. There's a less chance of having a cluttered desk when you can store everything so neatly. The see through drawer lets you see where you have stored your little treasures.

Sofas get really innovative and unique

sofa.jpg Why litter your house with a conventional sofa when you have the choice of something unique and different? Project Culdesac with Hector Serrano for MOOOI is perfect for those who don't like to conform, not even where furniture is concerned. It's texture is based on the legendary Chester sofa and it has EPS injected into it and the polyurethane finish is very appealing. I'd definitely like to plant my rear end on this. I hope it's as comfortable as it is stylish.

Andy Kurovets new ‘Bend Phone’ concept

Bend_Phone.jpg Mobile phones have hardly undergone any changes when it comes to the physical attributes. The only difference being they were huge and bulky previously, and now they are getting thinner, sleeker and delicate by the day. But the Ukraine-based designer Andy Kurovets has revolutionized the conventional boring looking mobile phone and has designed a ‘bent’ phone. The Bend mobile phone concept not only looks attractive but its slide-out screen is easy on the eyes by providing more eye-ball space and it also has a slide-out camera module that turns the phone into a flip-like camera. I, personally love standing out in the crowd and if given a chance would love to go in for such a product. I strongly recommend this concept to whoever loves experimenting.

Brew Spout is a novel tea kettle

brewspout.jpgBrew Spout is a really cool concept for an electric kettle. It gets its inspiration from natural water cycles. The water is poured into the base and it is heated with an electric heating element and the steam rises to the top exactly like in a water cycle. It then condenses and precipitates back into the cup. All this is really convenient and easy. It truly makes the process a cup of tea! industrial served design

Here come tree houses in the true sense

treehouse.jpgWhen I think of treehouses, I have cute amateur ones in my mind. However, this redefines tree houses completely. It's a proper and somewhat uniquely designed house amongst trees. It's an architectural project for the company "Dans Mon Arbre". I don't know if I could actually live there, but it would make a wonderful weekend home. I guess it will be a paradise for tree huggers! coroflot

Air Multiplier fan by James Dyson

airmultipplier1.jpg
Here is a unique fan that has just been launched. Created by industrial designer James Dyson, this fan is known as the Air Multiplier. What amazes you about this fan is that it has no blades! There is a motor at the base which uses Air Multiplier technology to amplify air 15 times, expelling 405 liters of cool, uninterrupted air every second. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture set within the loop amplifier. This creates a jet of air which passes over an airfoil-shaped ramp that channels its direction. Since there are no blades there is no buffeting. So people will enjoy a clean smooth uninterrupted breeze. What is more, its unique design and energy efficient motor make sure the fan doesn’t topple over. Just press the button to start and turn off this fan. Made from Abs, this fan is strong and sturdy.

A funny milk carafe is sure to make your mornings fun!

milk.jpg

Whether you have lived in a country side or not, every one, as a kid at least must have felt the urge to milk a cow! Whether you have tried it out or not, the all new Heffer Pitcher is a milk carafe that is in the shape of...well, you can see for yourself. It is a cool and an extremely witty design straight out of some ones imagination who perhaps wanted to feel closer to the nature or maybe wanted us to feel closer to it. Nevertheless, the outcome is something spectacularly crazy and unique that is bound to make your mornings even crazier. For those who wouldn’t want to experiment and stand out, they could as well gift this to someone who’d appreciate the idea of pouring milk out of such a flask ever morning. Priced at $22 and available for purchase here, I think I am definitely going for this fun item to gift a few people for fun!

Sit on your Backpack

chair.jpg chair1.jpg

Remember those tough journeys where you’d end up sitting on your own luggage for the lack of a decent sitting area? Bid adieu to those troublesome times, since the latest concept design is actually a bag which opens up to be a chair. This suitcase-and-seat combination does look very sleek with wheels and pull out handle, just like your usual portable carrier. The black and yellow combo looks even more new and interesting and I would want to buy these sometime when they ever go on sale. The only glitch I find with this concept is that, I don’t think there will be enough storage space for your stuff when you’d want to open it and actually use it as a chair. Nevertheless, an interesting idea it definitely is!

Futuristic look and feel to the KTM Quake car by Enrico Vettorato

car.jpg car2.jpg car3.jpg car4.jpg

KTM Quake has been developed by Enrico Vettorato from Italy. The first thing anyone would notice about is the super stylish, sleek and trendy body. Clearly aimed at a much younger audience the KTM Quake represents a completely original approach to automobile design. It features not only a striking asymmetrical body and multi-component wheels, it also has a unique propulsion system which uses the principle of piezoelectric. Piezoelectricity describes the ability of some materials (notably crystals like quartz and certain ceramics) to generate an electric current when compressed. The four 60 hp electric motors are housed within the wheels of the Quake to help evenly distribute the weight, and free up space within the bodywork for other components. It is a two-seater and very light-weighted and helps to keep the power consumption to its minimum yet not hamper the overall performance. The stylish and organice asymmetrical bodywork of the Quake is made from natural coconut fibre that are blended with natural dyes before being moulded into the shape. The interiors of the design are as cool with the doors opening in opposite directions. Instead of a conventional round steering wheel the driver is given a futuristic aircraft-yoke style steering wheel. While there would be some hurdles in getting the technology upgraded enough to power a car, in theory with development and testing it could be used as a propulsion source. Vettorato estimates that the technology could be available by 2020. And with its unique technology and ideas, the Quake has indeed been designed for the year 2020.

Gevari’s New-Age Violin

violin1.jpg

Can you easily embrace change? Change is inevitable, but how would you like it if your favorite car model underwent a makeover? I think change is always good as it provides a break and refreshes interest. This is exactly what Austria-based Gerda Hopfgartner did to the age old violin. The baroque styling of the musical instrument had remained unchanged for over 500 years, he points out. Her ‘semi-acoustic Violin’ re-design will be presented in the Tokyo Design Week later this month, under her brand name, ‘Gevari’. The new design is a sleek and stylish black colored violin with a very trendy cut and shape. I’m sure the re-vamp will definitely interest a lot more music enthusiasts and will appeal a lot more to the younger generation.

‘Unstable’ Table by Aissa Logerot

table 1.jpg table2.jpg table3.jpg

Tables are meant to balance all your things, so things wouldn’t spill here and there. But Aissa Logerot goes a step further and has designed a very unconventional ‘unstable’ table. The surface of this ‘unstable’ table is obviously ‘unstable’. It is easily possible to turn around the wooden blocks to suit your need. You can play around with the blocks to fit the bottom of your kettle, plates, cups or even glasses. Also you can play games like chess maybe, and even leave messages for your loved ones. I think it’s a very interesting concept and now with all these games and messages your kids will have enough reasons to be on the table now!
