Scream: Chair inspired by screaming mouth

scream.jpg Looks like the human body and its various organs are the main inspiration for various furniture pieces these days. After the unique pelvis bone inspired chair, here is a chair that derives its inspiration from a screaming mouth exposing the Uvula. Aptly named, the Scream, this chair has been designed by Bannavis Andrew Sribyatta of PIE studio. The unique chair is constructed using PIE Studios distinctive technique i.e. with a stainless steel frame and hand woven natural aluminum strands. The Scream chair can also be considered to be environmental friendly as it can be made with recyclable and recycle aluminum as well. Once you sit on this scream chair, the Uvula moves down and touch’s the floor. Great for both indoors as well as outdoors, this chair is definitely one eccentric piece of furniture.

Nostalgia Jet Scooter

Nostalgia_Jet_Scooter.jpg Don’t know what the main specifications for this one is, but it is beautiful. It is a jet scooter that has the essence of an Italian Vespa. It’s classic with its dials all giving a very nostalgic effect and by the looks of it, it is also very comfortable. It will be like riding a bike over water I think. Want to get more of this and when we do we shall share.

Loop-In for the adventure seekers

loop-in-hybrid-skate.jpg For surfers and skaters this will create some amusement. It is the Loop-In concept transportation system. The rider can enjoy the ultimate speed on the wheels and can do some surfing acrobatics at the same time. While the wheels can rotate on almost any type of surface, the plate will rotate in its interior independently. It is like pushing by a wave continuously, it seems. This is great for adventure lovers as before getting started on one of these, the riders will have to acquire the abilities to dominate the control of these wheels on any kind of lands and at the same time learning to keep balance inside the wheels is a must.

Concept DYA Cell phone will slide diagonally

DYA_Cell_phone.jpg I am not a gadget freak but this is one concept gadget that I wish goes into manufacturing soon. Known as the DYA Cell phone, it has been designed by Aran Mun and unlike ordinary slide phones, this headset slides diagonally. The keys too are arranged differently to fit the triangular shaped keypad format. The back of the phone is coated with elastic paint to give it a softer touch as well as to prevent any damage if the phone is dropped. A splendid design, I would love to flaunt this diagonally sliding phone.

Oscar Diaz designs unique Ink Calendar

ink_calendar_1.jpg I seriously thought the only way to make a calendar stand out would be with extraordinary pictures and fonts. But Spanish designer Oscar Diaz has proved there are more ways to turn a calendar into a piece of art. He has proved it with his unique Ink Calendar. This unique calendar uses the capillary action of ink spreading across paper to display the date. Each month, a bottle of colored ink spreads across a sheet of paper embossed with numbers, coloring them in as it goes. I personally loved this unique calendar and would love to display it on my wall. It’s almost magical.

Ice cream snow fall concept for the freeze lovers

The-Cloud-Project.jpg Like Charlie and chocolate factory, this concept will be a sure hit, when it does release. It is called the Cloud Project which will have ice cream falling down from the sky like snow. In real it is spray flavored condensation and liquid nitrogen into clouds, seeding them, and forcing flavored snow to fall. It is still a concept though as it involves certain bacteria and ice nucleation and a lot of other procedures and experiments. I wonder how it will work though and also, wouldn’t it get messy? I mean we all love to see ourselves swimming in chocolate and bathing in ice cream and all that, but what about the hygiene? Yeah, ok, I am a freak. The idea is awesome!

Single seat helicopter concept by sawmill employee

helicopter_concept.jpg I don’t know how true this is, but it seems this kick-ass 3D model designer works in a sawmill in the daytime. Imagine that – its like one of those movies, like he is some super hero. Well, Yutaka Igarashi’s super powers include creating remarkable designs using 3D modelling software. Latest is single seat helicopter equipped with everything required to give the machine high reliability. The single seat means that the pilot had better be very qualified before starting it up, because there will be no instructor holding his/her hand on their first flight. If this model does work, you can get to work in your own little helicopter… and you can say – will get to work on my personal jet!

The Continue Time Clock by Sandler Mulder is a shape shifter

Continue_Time_Clock.jpg Check out this unique time piece by Sander Mulder. The Continue Time clock is this amazing design that has two out of the three pointers rotate around another pointer, instead of the central point on the clock face. That's what sets it apart from the regular clocks. This ever moving artwork constantly changes its shape during a full rotation of twelve hours. This makes it possible to form stunning patterns on your wall. Don't worry the pointers are easy to read and you won't have any problem. It will certainly add a touch of fabulousness to your wall and wow your guests. I definitely want one.
