HT4 toilet that works good for everyone

HT4_modular_toilet.jpg Toilets are such essential products for humanity. I love reading history but the very thought of thinking they never had a toilet where they can do their thing always depresses me. It is the one place where you have not even an iota of inhibitions and just be yourself. Before going gory, this Mexican dude named Cesar Estrada has come up with a toilet idea for everyone, HT4 – yeah, humans only, but all kinds – young, old, handicapped, everyone. It features moving arms that can be adjusted in different positions for balance and comfort that also help people to stand and sit.

Bicycle pit stops that help you lunch on your bike comfortably

bicycle_pit_stops.jpg Bikes have been getting so much attention these days that I am almost convinced to give my four-wheeler for this fuel saving, energy efficient, environment friendly two-wheeler option. Ok, then maybe I have to shift to Europe or Japan. This new concept of a bicycle pit stop by Tokyo's Store Muu Design Studio got me thinking. This is cool, if you are riding a bike then you can ride straight into one of a table-like slot. Here the front wheel gets locked and you can have an instant table to rest or snack on. provides them with an instant table to rest or snack on. So when you are actually in a hurry and you get a message to mail something to someone urgently, you just run into one of these tables without actually finding a place to sit and then use your table while not bothering to get off!

CD Roll by Pascal Bauer is aesthetically appealing

cd_roll_1.jpg CD's are about as extinct as dinosaurs. So I'm not quite sure why anyone would design a CD Roll, but Pascal Bauer has done just that. At least it looks really good and is quite functional. It makes you nostalgic and takes you back to the 90's. The holder allows you to showcase 120 CD's. Essentially, it is a series of rotating wall-mounted CD holders in natural anodised turned sheet aluminium AO00, frame for securing to wall in steel. The entire design is very appealing to the eyes. Maybe you can use it to put your old CD collection on display.

Air 1 Aquarium by Amaury Poudray: A simple piece of art

Air-1-Aquarium.jpg The concept of incorporating aquariums into furniture is nothing new. So designers have to really struggle and come up with unique designs to make their aquarium furniture stand out. The latest designer who has managed to make his centerpiece stand out is French designer Amaury Poudray along with glass craftsman Pierre Pigna, who has designed a glass, zeppelin-shaped aquarium supported by a steel frame. This piece has been christened Air 1 and combines simple elements that are part of everything yet autonomous according to the designer. The designer has achieved his goal of elevating the glass shape and creating a link between two materials with the Air 1. The slim steel legs are the only support of this glass tube making this structure look delicate and beautiful. Several trials were required to find the solution for a glass tube to slide steel legs in. And the end result was totally worth the trails and errors.

Veuve Clicquot Comet for luxury at the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup polo championship

veuve.jpg Designer Tom Dixon has come up with this brilliant gazebo for Polo lovers called the Veuve Clicquot Comet. The main purpose and inspiration for this was for the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup for the British Open Polo Championship that will be held on July 19 at Cowdray Park, Midhurst, West Sussex. It is supposed to be a reinterpretation of classic summer item the gazebo. He got the idea owing to a vision he had - “I had a vision of sitting inside a comet drinking champagne! Foolish, it’s true, but from a construction point of view, the spherical shape is extremely rational in terms of structural integrity, which allows me to use a recycled and recyclable, lightweight material for these temporary pleasure domes, which will look like Veuve Clicquot Comets that have crashed into the polo field”.

New Void LP Player that runs on gravity

void.jpg This is a design inspired by the VW Bus. It is an LP player designed by Rhea Jeong and is called Void. It has the principles of a magnetic saucer and a mini mother ship. The Void uses the concept of a self-sufficient speaker, amp and needle (the red ball), and then tosses them all into the air with a magnetic saucer. It is a fun and futuristic concept that gets gravity to do some more work that it already holds.
