Ducati inspires Moto-Terminator concept

motobike.jpg For those who love terminator and its series here’s some joy. The bike used for the Terminator Salvation movie, the moto-terminators was an inspiration from the Ducati Hypermotard 1100. it’s amazing how a bunch of smart dudes get together, collect a concept, gain inspiration and then make something that will go down in history as a legend. By the looks of this, the Moto-Terminator looks like it will be the G I Joes for the next generation. For the boys only… it still doesn’t look appealing for girls, I bet.

Toilet to inspire Yoga

Toilet-Design.jpg This is a coincidence. Just recently I remember telling a friend to do Yoga in the toilet if he didn’t find a better spot at home! What do you know, students at Arizona State University's College of Design led by faculty members John Takamura and Dosun Shin have come up with a "transgenerational toilet design concept" called Go With the Flo. The Flo toilet is an ergonomic and designers say that using the Flo toilet is akin to yoga - by building and strengthening abdominal and back muscles. Only one-half to one gallon of water is used for flushing and The Flo reuses water from hand washing. To flush water from the tanks to the toilet, the Flo employs an electromagnetic ball valve. Go With the Flo also is free of mechanical parts. The toilet is fully self-sustaining and independent of electric power.

Brabants Kwartiertje watch by Dutch designer

Brabants_Kwartiertje_watch.jpg Dutch designer Coen van Ham has designed a watch around the famous Dutch principle of 'Brabants Kwartiertje' (Brabant quarter-hour), which is invoked or remembered when appointments don't quite line up. He says it means giving people the attention they deserve and that in practice, this subtle watch or clock gives you a moment to focus on what's really important: time for each other. The design is subtle in three colours – red, white and with black straps. The clock also has no digits only the dials.

Motorcycle shaped toilet seat for more convenience

motorcycletoilet.jpg Women are known to be very fussy when it comes to using a public loo and if it doesn’t have enough napkins and tissues and toilet rolls, then that’s it. This new concept of a toilet with a difference by designer Nelson Ayala might be the answer to all woes of women. This one prevents cheek-to-bowl contact in public restrooms. How to use is take a motorcycle-esque stance over the bowl, with knees inserted into padded grooves to support weight comfortably. It looks a little funny to be honest. This one also by the way allows you to squat and hover. Such fun!

The 'koncord' stool is a rotational molded polyethylene stool for the Italian company Slide. It will be showcased at the Milan Design Week this year.
