Here is a really sweet concept by designer Paul Sandip. We had a great time interviewing him, and this Bird Nest concept is the perfect way to ring in this year for us. The design is basically a bench for you and a bird feed with dwellings. The bench is crafted from durable stainless steel, where as the feed part is from wood and ceramic. Lush green grass below completes the ambience.
Apple+Mac+Mac World Expo…great timings, but worth the mention for designer Sait Alanyali! His creation, Mac Tower can easily cash in on the Apple hype that never seems to ebb. Feature wise, this is what the concept includes:
- Quad-Core Processors
- More slots for upgrading (2xPCI Express, 4xRAM, 3xSATA)
- Built-in iPod Dock+Remote
- Built-in Stereo Speakers
- Power supply+Battery (During power failure, if Time Machine is used, it backs-up from the last one, then system hibernates, if Time Machine is not used, it directly hibernates, no works lost!)
- The enclosure pops up with a locking mechanism, which gives access to the components and the rear I/O, the rear cables are tidied up by the enclosure automatically
- All the internal components are vertically placed, one silent 12mm fan is used, better airflow.

I would have much preferred coffee, but Tao Ma insists that we resolve our differences over a cup of tea! An oxymoron, Gun Cup 007 propagates peace and harmony with an overbearing design. The gun shaped cup with bullet tea bags hardly reflects serenity, however it drives home the message in these terror-struck times quite effectively. 
Creepy crawlies restricted to the jungles or zoos are adorable, but a spider in my den is a freaky idea. Bringing the cuteness factor to Little Miss Muffets' bane is the Bug Light. Bendable legs, a button on the body and light for a head completes the setup, which is very basic. Designer Sebastian Frith attempts to make a charming functional light out of Bugs! 
The elements in Detroit can be pretty harsh and resident designer Edward Morgan knows this pretty well. This inspired him to design a train concept that could handle all weather situations comfortably. The fishy business comes in for the fact that he looked at the dolphin for the way it cuts through the water, which will be similar to how the train pushes through the snow during Detroit's harsh winters. With a warm and friendly exterior, the train also exudes a warm glow from within the cabins. 
The only thing that makes me weary about bikes is the damage that they can cause to the human life when involved in an accident. No matter how well you may gear up, and it may not be your fault, but fast bikes and crazy roads are a deadly combination. On the flip side the dexterity of the bike and its compact size make them envy on crowded street junctions. Alex Hodge takes the best of bikes and marries it to the safety cocoon of a car to give us the Hodge Hawk Three-Wheeler Concept. It vehicle is powered by a Honda RC51 V-twin 999cc motor that touches 10,000rpm for a 120ps shot at the 19-inch front wheel. Carbon fiber and plastic coating is used to make the body lightweight. 
This sporty car designed by Haishan Deng really knows how to catch the wind in its guts. The main view of the sports car is highlighted by a series of slanting airwind vents. The concept uses about 80% high strength plastic that promises to reduce the energy costs of the car. An electric engine under the hood means the green brigade will be pleased. The car features hydraulic arms that extend the movement of the cockpit when it encounters an impact thereby increasing the safety of the passenger. And the transparent floor panels endorse the sporty vibe.
