TSUBOMI a Flower Bud that illuminates
Have you heard the story of the wicked witch who asked a girl to bring fire wrapped in paper in order to gain freedom? The clever girl brought the witch a paper lamp with a candle burning in bright. Similar to this oriental lore is the TSUBOMI, a Flower Bud lamp that has a paper exterior. The lamp pushes the shreds of paper upwards to reveal the glowing embers. A very soothing concept envisaged by Keniti Tanaka that will look alluring in any setting.

Copycat: iPhone-inspired designs
It really doesn't bother me that the interface styling on the concepts by Martin Fung take inspiration from Apple's baby. However I really appreciate his take on the wave-like styling for cellphone. It looks different and I'm sure it will feel different too, what do you think…. will the S-design work? Magnetically Accelerated Global Car

Glassy Glassy concept from Mac Funamizu
His previous endeavor for a conceptual glass interfaced mobile found favor with many folks. This designer Mac Funamizu has gone ahead and upped the stakes with a completely OTT Glassy phone. Yes, your fingerprints will be an issue with the double glassy layers, and will have to be cleaned off ever so often. But as I always say, it's the designer's prerogative to come up with concepts; it's a different issue regarding functionality. Technical issues aside, this is one heck-of-a concept…enjoy! Tempo External Back-up Drive
It's not a trashcan that you see besides the laptop here. This one's a backup drive that stores all your precious data and files. A convenient can that hooks up wirelessly to your comp via Bluetooth, the drive is a neat idea by Franco Marino Cagnina. A clever idea used here is the LED lights around the can. They fill up to indicate the remaining memory in the tank. So in one shot you know exactly how much more you can store in it. When the cup runneth over, get a new can!
